Brilliant In Color's Haley Taylor Schlitz is a nationally recognized advocate for addressing education equity issues that Black boys and girls face in our schools. Part of her efforts include addressing bias and racism by adults in the school system that harm Black boys and girls ability to thrive in the classroom.
In response to the announcement by members of the Texas Legislature and State Board of Education Member Aicha Davis that they will be introducing The Crown Act as legislation in the 2021 Legislative Session, Haley has announced a petition signature gathering campaign through Change.org.
